60 Logo & Brand Design prompts to copy

Image models are not a replacement for a designer, but they are excellent at the messy first hour of a branding project: producing thirty rough directions so you can find the two worth developing. Used well, a prompt can give you monogram marks, geometric symbols, mascot characters, app-icon treatments and full identity presentation boards.

The prompts collected here are written for that exploration stage. They specify the mark type, the construction grid, the colour palette and the presentation format — flat vector style, single-colour, negative space, grid-based, isometric, wordmark — instead of just asking for 'a modern logo'.

Remember that AI output is a starting point, not a finished file: you still need to redraw the winner as clean vector art and check it actually works at 16 pixels.

Why use prompts for logo concepts

Logo prompt guide

Name the mark type

Monogram, wordmark, abstract symbol, pictorial mark, mascot, emblem, negative-space mark. Each needs different construction language, so decide before you write the prompt.

Describe construction, not vibes

'Built on a circular grid', 'geometric shapes, equal stroke weight', 'flat single colour, no gradient, no shadow'. This is what keeps output usable rather than a colourful illustration.

Pick a palette of two or three

One primary, one accent, one neutral. Ask for the hex-area feel rather than exact hex codes — most models cannot honour exact values, but they respond well to 'deep navy and warm sand'.

Ask for the presentation you need

Isolated on white, on a dark mockup card, as an app icon, on signage, in a brand sheet layout. Presentation prompts are what make the output presentable in a deck.

Logo prompts FAQ

Can I use an AI-generated logo for my business?
The concept is yours to develop, but check the image model's licence for commercial use and never prompt for a recognisable existing brand or trademark. Even a good output should be redrawn as clean vector art before you register or print it.
Why does the AI add text I did not ask for?
Most image models hallucinate letters on logo requests. Add 'no text, symbol only, no lettering' unless you are deliberately testing a wordmark, and expect to fix any wordmark manually later.
How do I get a flat vector look?
Say 'flat vector style, solid colours, no gradients, no shadows, no textures, clean edges, single colour on white'. That phrase alone removes most of the glossy 3D look models default to.
Which model is best for logos and icons?
GPT Image and Gemini handle clean shapes and small amounts of text best; Midjourney is better for illustrative mascots; FLUX is a strong all-rounder. Try the same prompt in two models before deciding.
Can I generate a full brand kit?
Yes, in pieces: the mark, the app icon, the colour palette, a business card mockup, a social avatar and a presentation board. Generate them one at a time and keep the palette sentence identical in each prompt.
